Engelberg - what could be nearer:

By car
Engelberg is easily accessible from all
directions by car. There are motorways
from Geneva via Bern; or from St. Gallen
via Zurich to Lucerne (Gotthard route).
Leave the A2 motorway at the Stans-Süd
exit (16 kms after Lucerne) and
take the direction Engelberg, which is reached after 20 kms.

By train
From Lucerne there is a direct hourly service to Engelberg
operated by the Zentralbahn. In addition, regular
comfortable Intercity or Eurocity trains run to Lucerne.

By air
On arrival at the Unique-Airport Zürich-Kloten, you have hourly direct rail connections to Lucerne, and then from Lucerne again direct rail connections to Engelberg.

You have to pass the sport center, then turn right into the direction of the Monestary and then at the beginning of the famous monestary
